On Saturday the 1st XV Travelled to face Division 1 side Risca in a Ben Francis Cup tie. In a tense tight battle the team more than held their own and came away with a deserved 10-10 draw. Scorers on the day were Sean Morris with a try which was converted by Ieaun Hale who also added a penalty. This will give the players great heart going into the next Ben Francis Tie which is also against division 1 opposition in the form of Brynmawr RFC and our next league fixture against Monmouth.
